Cannabidiol as a Potential Treatment for Anxiety Disorders

Authored by Bak Basics
March 24, 2019

A clinical review of human studies published by Neurotherapeutics in 2015 strongly supports the potential for CBD as a treatment for anxiety disorders.  CBD oral doses ranging from 300 to 600 mg reduced experimentally induced anxiety in healthy controls, without affecting baseline anxiety levels, and reduced anxiety in patients with social anxiety disorder.  Preclinical evidence also suggested that CBD has potential to treat multiple symptom domains relevant to generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and PTSD.
