CBD Oil Dosage – How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?

Rule #1: there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to determining the “right” CBD dosage.
Rule #2: it is typically best to start low and gradually increase dosage over time until the desired result is experienced.

It is thought that the exact dosage for maximum benefit of CBD differs between individuals. Therefore, using CBD is all about hitting the “sweet spot” for your own individual endocannabinoid system. The sweet spot dose is the amount of CBD that gives you the desired results that you are looking for. It is important to understand that this sweet spot is different for each person. With CBD therapy, the endocannabinoid system is very different for everyone. As a result, CBD oil users need to expect to do their own experimentation to find the CBD dose that is optimal for them.

One of the most common methods for finding your “sweet spot” dose is called micro-dosing. CBD micro-dosing is a technique that involves taking very small amounts of CBD on a regular schedule. These instructions are based on a system described by Dr. Dustin Sulak in a recent article in Rolling Stone magazine in 2017.

CBD dosing is similar to a Bell Curve Graph. Thus, the recommendation is to start low and slowly work your way up the left half of the bell curve until you find your optimal dose. Expect the need to make adjustments over time to remain in the “optimal” range. This is why experimentation is key. For many, less is more. CBD oil users can experience headaches or symptoms of nausea when taking CBD at too high a dose and are often on the negative trend of the curve. Users at this point may benefit from lowering the dose.
