What is CBD?
CBD is one of over 100 chemicals derived from the marijuana and hemp plant. CBD has been shown to help many with their chronic illnesses. Just to name a few, it can help with epilepsy, reducing anxiety, alleviating skin irritation, pain and potentially relieving symptoms of post cancer treatment such as reducing chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting which are two of the most common side effects of chemotherapy.
CBD is found where?
CBD is found in both Hemp and Marijuana, the difference between them is the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) content. Marijuana contains high concentrations of THC, generally percentages are between 12% to 43% of THC. Hemp does not contain nearly as much THC. For it to be considered “Hemp,” this plant needs to contain NO more than 0.3% THC. Unlike THC, CBD is NOT psychoactive. What this means is that you will not develop a “high” or get “stoned” when intaking CBD. Many recent studies show that CBD will counteract and/or reduce the “high” caused by THC. CBD is getting to be known as a wonderful option for people seeking cannabis benefits without the THC high.
